A 4-week Zoom class offered by Andrea Starn, LMFT
The Brahmaviharas (or “Four Immeasurables”) are some of the oldest known meditations from the Buddhist tradition and include loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity. These practices train the heart to remain kind, joyful, and balanced towards all beings, including ourselves. In addition, they build insight and resilience and are powerful supports we can leverage to respond skillfully in difficult times such as those we currently face, individually and collectively. This class is suitable for beginners or more advanced meditators and will include a brief introduction to each heart practice followed by guided meditation and discussion.
Dates: Wednesdays 8/31, 9/7, 9/14, 9/21 6:30 – 7:30 pm
$100 recommended donation with advance registration and payment required. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. To register, please go to the Unity of Walnut Creek website at unityofwalnutcreek.org.
